Company survey on the future strategy for the Ludwigsburg district

In order to incorporate the current and future needs of the district's companies into the shaping of the future, a district-wide company survey is currently taking place. The online survey is part of a strategy process that the district economic development agency is currently

is currently conducting with many municipalities, companies and institutions. The aim is to develop a future strategy for the business location, define goals and measures for actively shaping the future, improve the framework conditions for companies and tailor offers specifically to the needs of companies in the district.

The focus of the survey is primarily on companies from the production and knowledge-intensive services, technology companies and the skilled trades. However, representatives of other sectors are also invited to contribute to the future design of the Ludwigsburg district. It will take about 10-15 minutes to respond. Participation is possible via the following link: https: //app11.vdivde-it.de/goto/Unternehmensbefragung_Ludwigsburg.

All information will be evaluated anonymously and confidentially. The survey is open until 16.03.

Review of the strategy workshop: A look ahead for the business location

On January 14, the district of Ludwigsburg held its first strategy workshop to develop a strategy for the future. Representatives from administration, local authorities, business and the Stuttgart region discussed key success factors for the business location in a world café format, including the labor market, innovation, commercial space and a climate-friendly economy. Both challenges and opportunities for strengthening the location were identified, in particular through cooperation, future industries and targeted measures.

The district economic development agency and the regional consultancy VDI/VDE Innovation und Technik GmbH are working on a future strategy for the Ludwigsburg district until summer 2025, which includes specific goals and measures. The aim is to make the district future-proof, to continue to support companies in the future in line with their needs, to promote start-ups and to secure long-term value creation and jobs.

Energy consulting for companies in the Ludwigsburg district

The Ludwigsburg District Energy Agency (LEA) supports craft businesses, companies and institutions with energy efficiency and climate protection measures in order to reduce costs and contribute to climate protection. A new service introduced in 2025 is the introductory energy consultation, which companies can use free of charge thanks to funding from the Ludwigsburg district. It includes a company inspection and a consultation report with information on suitable subsidies. Companies receive a rough assessment of their current energy situation and are shown possible steps they can take to use energy more efficiently in their company. Examples of consulting topics include the renovation of the building envelope, the provision of room and process heat, waste heat recovery, cross-sectional technologies, cooling and ventilation systems and lighting.

In addition to introductory energy consultations, the LEA's full range of services for companies also includes energy audits, advice on energy-efficient refurbishment and waste heat recovery, advice on photovoltaics and operational mobility management. Further information can be found on the website https://www.lea-lb.de/angebote/unternehmen/.

Previous projects include an energy audit for the Blühende Barock Gartenschau Ludwigsburg GmbH and the analysis of heating and cooling consumers at Koepfer Gear GmbH. Interested parties can arrange consultation appointments at info[at]lea-lb.de or +49 7141 68893-0.

Cooperation agreement on joint advice for companies on the immigration of skilled workers

Following the Ludwigsburg District Office, two other immigration authorities have now also agreed to intensify their cooperation with the Ludwigsburg Chamber of Industry and Commerce and the Stuttgart Region Chamber of Skilled Crafts. The towns of Ditzingen and Remseck am Neckar and their respective immigration authorities have signed agreements on the immigration of skilled workers in order to support companies in recruiting foreign skilled workers and to make processes more efficient.

The aim of the cooperation is to attract, recruit and retain international skilled workers. To this end, both chambers provide their members with comprehensive advice on the topic of skilled worker immigration and accelerated skilled worker procedures. They also provide support in compiling the necessary documents. The chambers forward the documents to the cooperating immigration authorities. These authorities can initiate all necessary steps directly without losing time by requesting missing documents. All cooperation partners are convinced that this will offer companies more transparency and significantly speed up the process.

For further information, interested parties can contact the Ludwigsburg Chamber of Industry and Commerce or the Stuttgart Region Chamber of Skilled Crafts.

Opening Pop-Up Store Sachsenheim

The new pop-up store at Hauptstraße 19 in Großsachsenheim opened its doors for the first time in February and has met with great interest. The project with changing operators starts with the "Kreativwerkstatt by mutwillig", which offers creative hands-on activities such as flower loop workshops, plaster paintings on canvas and DIY sets to give as gifts. Other users of the pop-up store have already been confirmed.

The town of Sachsenheim is initially renting out the premises of approx. 100 square meters of store space for three months at a time to interested parties with their store concepts. The town sees the pop-up store as an important step towards revitalizing the town centre and a valuable asset for urban development. With the support of the state's redevelopment program, this should be the prelude to further measures to promote the attractiveness and diversity of the city centre in the long term.
