Leisure buses

in the district of Ludwigsburg

The leisure buses add the leisure factor to the well-developed bus services in the Ludwigsburg district and transport cyclists, hikers and day-trippers to interesting villages and beautiful landscapes at the weekend.

The Stuttgart Transport and Tariff Association(VVS) fare applies on the buses along the entire route and bicycles can be carried free of charge on a trailer.

Stromer" cycling and hiking bus

The "Stromer" cycling and hiking bus runs on Saturdays, Sundays andpublic holidays from Bietigheim-Bissingen via Löchgau - Erligheim - Bönnigheim - Freudental to Kirbachtal and also makes detours to Tripsdrill Adventure Park. Its season is based on that of the Tripsdrill adventure park.

During the route closure on the K1632 between Freudental and Cleebronn, the Stromer will only run to Tripsdrill and back until April 30th. Once the measure has been completed, probably from May 1, the Stromer will run again as usual to Häfnerhaslach in Kirbachtal and back again.

The "Stromer" will start in 2026 on March 21 and will run for the duration of the Tripsdrill Adventure Park season until November 1.

"WeinKulTourer" cycling and hiking bus

The "WeinKulTourer" cycling and hiking bus operates from May 1st to the penultimate Sunday in October. It connects the Bottwartal and Neckar valleys on Sundays and public holidays.

The attractive route leads from Marbach via Erdmannhausen - Steinheim - Großbottwar - Mundelsheim and Hessigheim to Besigheim.

The "WeinKulTourer" will start operating on May 1, 2026 and will run until October 18, 2026. The line connects the towns of Marbach and Besigheim on Sundays and public holidays and runs through the picturesque wine landscapes of the Bottwar and Neckar valleys.

In addition to the "WeinKulTourer", there is another cycling and hiking bus that starts in the Rems-Murr district and travels to Oberstenfeld and Prevorst. Commute on foot or by bike between Großbottwar and Oberstenfeld and use the"mountain and valley bus" for an excursion to the Murr-Bottwartal landscape park.
