Orange Bank against violence against women

Free info badges with your logo for your orange bench!

The dignity of women is inviolable.

It is the duty of all state authorities to respect and protect it. It is an inviolable and inalienable human right.

Sample (left): Plaque for the "Orange Bank" with your logo

From 2025, all interested institutions and companies that permanently install an orange-colored bench will continue to receive the appropriate plaque with the logo of the installer free of charge from the district. Please register here.

You can buy a new orange bench or paint an existing bench orange. Any bench shape is welcome - even pallet benches.
You are also free to choose the installation location: indoors or outdoors. Light red-orange - Ral 2008 is ideal for the choice of color. However, it can also be a similar shade of orange.
The benches can also be designed with statements.

Gender-based violence is omnipresent and still anchored in our social structures. One in three women in Germany is affected by physical and/or sexual violence. 25% of women in Germany experience physical and/or sexual violence in their relationship. Every third day, a man kills his (ex-)partner.

Women in the district of Ludwigsburg are also exposed to physical and/or sexual violence in various areas of life. Only a fraction of the crimes are reported to the local investigating authorities and women often do not seek the necessary support from the help system.

This is where the county-wide campaign comes in, in cooperation with numerous counseling and contact points:

1. removing taboos from the topic among the population
2. raising awareness of the topic among the population
3. providing information about the existing (local) support system
4. increasing the confidence of (potential) victims and those around them to take action

Based on the UN campaign "Orange the World", the district of Ludwigsburg wants to work with all committed municipalities and organizations (companies, authorities, educational institutions, (high) schools, etc.) in the district to set up ORANGE COLOURED BANKS. They invite conversation and draw attention to the topic as a visible sign. All benches receive a plaque from the district with information about the help system. On request, the district can organize a local campaign on the topic for interested parties in connection with the presentation of a bench. Existing benches can also be painted orange and customized. Accompanying programs, offers to get involved and information are also available. Projects from schools, youth centers, etc. are explicitly welcome.

In the campaign year 2024, a total of 29 orange benches were set up in various municipalities in the district - both permanently and temporarily - to draw attention to the issue of violence against women and contribute to removing taboos from society. Each bench is provided with a plaque indicating offers of help and a QR code that provides further information. Installation locations were or are Bietigheim-Bissingen, Freudental, Erdmannhausen, Ingersheim, Ludwigsburg, Marbach, Murr, Sersheim, Tamm, Vaihingen an der Enz and Walheim.
