The Medical Examination Board carries out examinations and assessments in the public interest.
The responsibility is given by laws and ordinances (local responsibility).
For the administrative district of Stuttgart (with the exception of the urban districts of Stuttgart and Heilbronn)
- Fitness for duty of civil servants (mandate of a public authority)
- Accident procedures for civil servants (commissioned by a public authority)
- Official medical certificates for the aid offices (commissioned by the aid office)
For the district of Ludwigsburg on behalf of courts and regulatory authorities
- Ability to stand trial
- Detention capacity
- Need for placement in accordance with the PsychKHG Baden-Württemberg
- Ability to be evicted
For the social and youth welfare office in administrative assistance
- Ability to move
- Need for costly food (additional needs)
Miscellaneous

- Asylum Seekers' Benefits Act (AsylbLG)
- Ability of asylum seekers to travel (only as part of the forensic medical service)

In matters relating to state aid, please contact your local state aid office. Enclose current medical documentation with your application. The subsidy office will contact us directly after examining the facts of the case.
Recruitment examinations for civil servants (regulation since 01.01.2016)
The health authorities in Baden-Württemberg no longer carry out medical examinations to check the health suitability for recruitment or appointment.
The State Health Office has set up a section on the homepage www.gesundheitsamt-bw.de under the heading "Information for citizens", where you will find the list of doctors who carry out the recruitment examinations.

Fees and forms
Individual examinations are subject to a fee, which is calculated in accordance with the legal regulations of the Ludwigsburg District Office.

- Information on the official medical examination for civil service and preparatory service - Ludwigsburg Health Department The document provides information on which medical examinations are carried out in connection with recruitment to the preparatory service as well as probationary or permanent civil servant status. It explains that for many training and study courses, official medical examinations have no longer been necessary since 2016 and have been replaced by regular medical certificates. It also describes that civil service medical examinations will no longer be required from July 2016 and will instead be carried out by other suitable doctors.
