Initial issue and extension

The application can be deposited in the mailbox of the

• Ludwigsburg driving license authority
• Besigheim branch office
• Vaihingen an der Enz branch office

in the mailbox. It is also possible to apply at the town hall of the municipality of residence (except for the city of Ludwigsburg).

A personal visit to the driving license authority is only possible after prior online appointment at the Ludwigsburg district office or the Besigheim and Vaihingen an der Enz branch offices.

The application can be submitted at the earliest 6 months before reaching the minimum age for the respective driving license category.

• Valid identity card or passport
• 1 biometric photograph
• Name of the driving school (for applications for initial issue and extension)
• The signature of the legal representative if the applicant has not yet reached the age of 18 at the time of application!

Class AM, A1, A2, A, B, BE, L, T

• eye test
• Certificate of participation in the "First Aid" course

• Additional examination according to Annex 5 No. 2 of the FeV
• Police clearance certificate (Beleg-O)
