Home supervision

Security & Order

The retirement and nursing homes as well as the homes for the disabled in the district of Ludwigsburg are subject to state supervision by the home supervisory authority.

This is based on the Residential, Participation and Nursing Care Act (WTPG) and the legal ordinances issued in this regard.

The task of home supervision in accordance with the Housing, Participation and Care Act (WTPG) is to ensure that the interests and needs of people of legal age with care and support needs or people of legal age with disabilities are recognized, observed and protected. The home supervisory authority must ensure the appropriate quality of care and nursing in the facility.

The home supervisory authority is responsible for advising and informing residents, the facilities and their operators and the public. This applies equally to the commissioning of a new facility and to the operation of the home. Accordingly, the home supervisory authority is responsible for monitoring and control functions. Residents and their relatives can contact the home supervisory authority if they have any questions or complaints about the homes.

As part of its supervisory activities, the home supervisory authority carries out unannounced inspections in the facilities. For this purpose, care experts are sought who are willing to accompany the home supervisory authority on a fee basis during the inspections.
