Education region

Culture & Education

Since 01.01.2011, the district has been participating in the state of Baden-Württemberg's "Bildungsregionen" (education regions) program by establishing an education region in the district of Ludwigsburg. Its aim is to provide all children and young people with the best possible educational opportunities. In order to achieve this, it is necessary for all persons and institutions important for education to work closely together in order to coordinate their services and learn from each other through exchange.

In the education region, the regional steering group, chaired by District Administrator Allgaier, acts as the highest decision-making body and is responsible for the overall strategy. The key players in the education and upbringing of young people are represented here. The main tasks of the Regional Steering Group include making fundamental decisions and setting thematic priorities. The managing unit of the education region is the education office.

The education region is currently focusing on the key topics of "Integration in nurseries, schools and careers" and "Transition from school to work". Project groups (expert committees) have been formed for these areas, which work together with the education office to implement the steering group resolutions.

Since 01.09.2017, the district has been participating in the state program "Model project for redesigning the transition from school to work in Baden-Württemberg". The Regional Transition Management (RÜM), which coordinates the activities and players in the transition from school to work on site, is based at the "Bildungsregion Landkreis Ludwigsburg". The district's vocational schools offer the dual training preparation course (AVdual). The AVdual mentors, who accompany the AVdual students during the transition from school to work, are based at the education office.
