The County Council Secretariat prepares committee and county council meetings and ensures that the necessary meeting materials from the relevant departments are compiled and sent to the 105 county council members in a timely manner. This also includes taking minutes during the meetings.
In addition, the office organizes all elections for the district—European Parliament, Bundestag, state parliament, regional, and county council elections.
The district’s partnerships and sister-city relationships with the Upper Galilee region in Israel, the city of Yichang in China, the province of Bergamo in Italy, the Zwickau district, and Pest County in Hungary are also managed from here.
Key administrative tasks handled by the District Council Office include the in-house print shop, the mailroom, and the records office. The management of official vehicles and drivers, as well as facility management, is also handled here. In addition, the District Council Office serves as the point of contact for cafeteria matters.
