The Bewegungspass is a comprehensive program for promoting motor skills in children aged 2 to 7 years. The concept is suitable for implementation in the living environments of children in this age group, especially in daycare centers, elementary school and (sports) clubs. Climbing like a monkey, moving the ball deftly like a seal and balancing safely like a squirrel - children learn motor skills through play and record their progress in their own movement passport.
About the project
For educational professionals from daycare centres and clubs as well as for parents, the movement pass offers the opportunity to actively promote children in their motor development, to recognize needs for support but also progress and to exchange ideas with each other. The program was developed by the Office for Sport and Exercise in Stuttgart and is becoming increasingly widespread throughout Baden-Württemberg.
Educational specialists and exercise instructors can receive free training to implement the program in their facility. Certified facilities also receive a free bag of materials from BENZ, a collection of games and exercise passports for the children.
The project has been running since 2025 and will initially run until the end of 2028 and is financially supported by AOK Ludwigsburg-Rems-Murr. The aim is to establish the physical activity pass permanently in the living environments of children in the district of Ludwigsburg and the city of Ludwigsburg.
Dates for the certification training courses
To certify a facility, one or two staff members are typically trained. In a one-day training session, early childhood educators and activity leaders gain knowledge about early childhood development and the basics of motor skills and physical activity promotion. In addition, the concept of the “Movement Passport” is introduced and actively and creatively tested by the participants themselves.
