About the project
The PflegeAuszeit project of the Ludwigsburg District Office aims to provide an alternative to traditional short-term care.
Advice and support
One of the project's services is to support family carers in implementing and organizing time off by using an informal substitute care network. The project team is on hand to provide advice and support.
Enable relatives with care responsibilities to take time out by building personal support networks in the home as an alternative to short-term care. The specialist center will help you build these networks. In doing so, we look together at who in your extended family or circle of friends and acquaintances can take on caring tasks during the absence of the caring relative and whether additional professional carers, such as outpatient services, day care or care services, can provide support during the time out.
Café Auszeit - space for exchange and conversation
We give family caregivers a space to exchange ideas and talk to like-minded people. This is the aim of Café Auszeit, which will take place once a month in Kornwestheim from May. All family caregivers from the Ludwigsburg district are cordially invited to attend. The aim is to create a place for joint meetings, encounters and mutual exchange over coffee and pastries. There will also be a thematic input on every second café date.
Café Auszeit dates, each from 5-7 pm
- 13.11.2025: Care and precautionary powers of attorney (speaker: Matthias Engel, Ludwigsburg care authority)
- 18.12.2025: Open café (moderation: Teresa Renier/Silke Reich)
- Upcoming dates to follow
The Café Auszeit takes place in the common room of the senior citizens' residential complex, Hermannstr. 12-14 in Kornwestheim.
Registration now possible
Due to room capacity, the number of participants for Café Auszeit is limited to 35 people per date. Registration is therefore requested, see contact. You can register for one or more dates at the same time. Visitors who decide to come at short notice are also very welcome.
