ECHT SCHÖN SCHRÄG - the anniversary wine of the district of Ludwigsburg

District Administrator Dietmar Allgaier and representatives of the district of Ludwigsburg, together with cellar masters Michael Böhm and Stefan Schumacher and representatives of the management team of Käsbergkeller Mundelsheim, have cuvetted a special wine:

The grapes for this anniversary wine come from the selected grapes of one of the most beautiful single vineyards in the region: the Mundelsheimer Käsberg.

Only fully ripe and healthy grapes were used for these wines, which were traditionally fermented on the skins. A long post-fermentative extraction on the skins was followed by 24 months of maturation in barriques (French and German oak). Afterwards: extremely gentle clarification of the wine by sedimentation, no filtration. The cuvée consists of 30% Cabernet Franc, 55% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Marselan, 5% Camenère, 5% Tannat. Some of these grape varieties come from a vine planting innovation project for special grape varieties on the future-oriented possibilities of viticulture in terraced vineyards in Württemberg.

This cuvée captivates with dark red color reflections and elegant aromas of green peppers, black currants and vanilla. Strong tannins and a full-bodied finish round off this successful composition.
