The so-called “VwV Deutsch” is a language support program run by the Baden-Württemberg Ministry of Social Affairs and Integration. Through this program, the state provides funding to cities and counties for German language courses. It complements the language courses offered by the BAMF.
This support program, in which the Ludwigsburg district has been participating for several years, was developed primarily for refugees who do not have access to a BAMF integration course or to DeuFöV courses. The project aims to offer this target group free access to German language instruction, thereby facilitating their integration into society.
The eligibility requirements for this project are set forth in the “VwV Deutsch.” Within the framework of this administrative regulation, the Ludwigsburg district regularly organizes language courses ranging from target level A1—with preliminary literacy instruction if necessary—up to language level B1. Higher target levels cannot be offered at this time.
If a refugee is interested in a VwV German language course, they should contact the responsible social worker or integration manager to first clarify the general personal eligibility requirements. Applications for a spot in a VwV German language course can then be submitted directly through the responsible social worker or integration manager.

Applications for part-time courses for working adults (individual grants) are generally accepted.
