Offers for companies

Corporate Network Energy & Climate

Embedding climate protection in businesses is a complex task. Workflows, processes, and structures must be reimagined, and new technologies implemented. At the same time, there are many opportunities, such as cost savings through increased efficiency, greater independence from energy prices, and funding opportunities.

Together with the City of Ludwigsburg, the Ludwigsburg District aims to support companies in this endeavor.

The Energy & Climate Business Network was launched in 2019, initially as the Ludwigsburg Climate Alliance Business Network. Its goals are to facilitate networking, exchange, and information sharing among companies on the topic of climate protection. Companies from the Ludwigsburg district of any industry and size can participate in the meetings, with one company serving as a guest and another as a facilitator. Previous topics have included sustainable procurement, climate-friendly construction, and PV power for businesses. Participation is free of charge.

Benefits for members of the business network

  • Exchange of knowledge and experience on an equal footing
  • Staying connected through regular meetings
  • Reduced research and decision-making costs, as well as time savings
  • High-profile presentation of your commitment
  • Input from experts on funding programs, energy law, and more

Past Network Meetings

May 12, 2026 / Artificial Intelligence as a Lever for Climate Protection – Ludwigsburg District Office

On Tuesday, May 12, the kick-off event of the Energy & Climate Business Network took place in the main conference room at the Ludwigsburg District Office.

The focus was on the topic of AI and climate protection. In recent years, artificial intelligence has established itself as a powerful tool. Katharina Strecker from the Center for Solar Energy and Hydrogen Research Baden-Württemberg (ZSW) impressively demonstrated that AI is not a topic for the future - it is already an effective tool for greater energy efficiency and resource conservation. Her conclusion: small AI models, used in a targeted manner, can achieve major savings, even without huge IT budgets.

Climate fit BW

Klimafit BW is a funding programme of the Baden-Württemberg Ministry of the Environment, Climate Protection and the Energy Sector that offers companies of all sectors and sizes as well as other organizations a low-threshold introduction to the topic of climate protection and energy saving.

The district joined the project in 2021 and the 3rd round started in November 2024. The Ludwigsburg District Office is the project sponsor and link between the participating companies and the ministry.

Joint workshops are held to draw up a greenhouse gas balance sheet and derive emission reduction measures. Support is provided by expert environmental and energy consultants.

The project runs for approx. 9 months and ends with the award of the "Klimafit BW-Unternehmen" (Climate-Fit BW Company) certificate.

You can find out more about the project at www.klimafit-bw.de and here.

If you are interested in the project, please contact us. We are always looking for companies that are interested in getting involved.

    Energy consulting for companies

Many companies have unrecognized potential to save energy or use it more efficiently, for example through sophisticated concepts for space and process heating or waste heat.

The Ludwigsburg District Energy Agency LEA offers initial energy consultations for companies, which are financed by the Ludwigsburg district.

In the initial energy consultation, you receive a rough assessment of your company's current energy situation. Based on this, the LEA team will show you possible steps you can take to use energy more efficiently in your company and make sensible use of available subsidies.

You can find more information here and in the flyer below.

Network: Climate initiative for energy-efficient management (KEW)

The LEA supports your company on the path to greater energy efficiency - for sustainable business. From 01.08.2025 to 31.07.2028, the LEA, in cooperation with the Initiative for Energy Efficiency and Climate Protection Networks (IEEKN), is launching the Climate Initiative for Energy Efficient Business (KEW) network for companies in the district of Ludwigsburg and beyond.

Interested parties can apply now and benefit from the regional expertise of the LEA. Participating companies attend network meetings three times a year, receive individual advice and valuable technical contributions. Become a member now and save energy costs in the long term.
