Services for those in need of care and support

Depending on the care level, different benefits can be claimed from the care insurance. A doctor's prescription is required for treatment care. Short-term care is a temporary stay in an inpatient care facility to relieve relatives, for example during a vacation or hospital stay. It is also ideal for people who need temporary intensive care after a stay in hospital or in crisis situations.

The district of Ludwigsburg provides temporary short-term care places in inpatient care facilities in Großbottwar-Winzerhausen and Remseck-Aldingen. A transition to permanent inpatient care is not possible with these places.

Day care is a service for people in need of care who live at home. There they can expect a day in the company of others, with nursing care, meals and various activities. There is usually a transport service.

There are currently no night care facilities in the district of Ludwigsburg.

If care can no longer be provided at home, it is possible to move to an inpatient care facility. There, people in need of care receive comprehensive care, support and assistance in organizing their daily lives.

Care groups offer a regular program for older people and/or people suffering from dementia, e.g. singing, dancing and games. The costs can also be covered by the relief amount.

Organized neighbourhood assistance supports elderly people and people in need of care at home, e.g. by going for walks, shopping, talking or accompanying them to medical appointments. The costs can usually be covered by the relief amount.

Household-related services include activities such as cooking, cleaning, ironing, shopping and laundry. The costs can be settled via the relief amount if the service provider is recognized in the district of Ludwigsburg. Costs for non-recognized service providers must be borne privately.

Outpatient care services and care services offer one-to-one care at home. The caregiver's activities include, for example, organizing activities, going for walks, preparing meals together and much more. It is an alternative when caregivers are unavailable due to illness or vacation.

Meals on Wheels is a support service for older people and people with a health impairment who find it difficult to go shopping and cook. In principle, anyone can order meals on wheels. Meals on wheels or menu services are offered by various providers in the district. The providers deliver the meal directly to your home. There are transportation services to participate in public life, such as a community bus , as well as transportation companies offering their services. You can find information on the district's disabled driving service here.

Persons with a severely disabled person's pass and the mark aG, BL or H or care degree 3, 4 or 5 receive reimbursements. A medical certificate is required for care level 3.

Most people want to remain living in their own four walls. Relatives are often unable to manage the care and support alone and look for other solutions, such as a caregiver in their own home. You can obtain initial guidance and advice on this form of care from the care support point.
