Every year on September 1st, the Ludwigsburg District Office offers a place at the Nutrition Center as part of the Federal Volunteer Service.
The nutrition center is a competence center for all aspects of eating, drinking and food. Our focus is on nutrition education in practice and theory as well as education about the agricultural production of food and food processing in our region.
Your activities will include
- Preparation and support of events of the Nutrition Center such as school class programs, workshops, lectures, company tours and trade fair appearances
- Office organization of the nutrition center, e.g. telephone service, ordering brochures, mailing campaigns, documentation
- Collaboration on our educational show
- Support with housekeeping activities
- Assistance with public relations work
During your time as a volunteer, you will receive around €450 pocket money and a food allowance.

Employment in the area of asylum seekers and repatriates:
The assignment sites are both the offices of the Social Service Asylum Division of the Ludwigsburg district, Auf dem Wasen 9, 71640 Ludwigsburg and the district's refugee shelters in the surrounding area (Kornwestheim, Ludwigsburg, Gerlingen,Ditzingen, Korntal-Münchingen).
You will work directly with social workers who look after asylum seekers in the shared accommodation in the district of Ludwigsburg. You will support the social workers during office hours in the accommodation and help to support the refugees.

Are you looking for an internship for the practical semester of your degree course in social education/social work? At Kreisjugendpflege Ludwigsburg, you have the opportunity to complete a varied, paid internship with a wide range of experience in administration and (open) youth work as part of your studies.

Information on district youth care:
The Kreisjugendpflege advises and supports institutions in the field of open child and youth work as well as the cities/municipalities of the district in questions of open youth work and organizes further training and specialist conferences on this topic. Together with the district association of youth centers, it also organizes an annual district-wide youth week, during which over 200 events are offered on topics such as media, violence and addiction prevention, integration and finding a career. The district youth welfare office plays a managing and moderating role in the working committees of the district's open child and youth work, which meet regularly.

In accordance with Section 5 of the Lawyers' Training and Examination Regulations (JAPrO), law students must provide evidence of a total of three months of practical study time. Training for the higher agricultural administration service
The inspectorate serves to qualify specialists and junior managers for work in the agricultural administration of the state of Baden-Württemberg. The training mainly takes place at a lower agricultural authority of the district offices and ends with a state examination in April. The preparatory service begins in November and lasts a total of 16 months. Applicants are selected centrally by the regional council in Karlsruhe or Freiburg. The inspectorate is a prerequisite for recruitment as a senior civil servant in the agricultural administration of the state of Baden-Württemberg.
Prerequisites:
- Successfully completed university studies in the field of agriculture (diploma from a university of applied sciences or Bachelor of Science, degree in one of the subjects of agricultural sciences, horticulture, viticulture, ecotrophology or equivalent subjects)
- Fulfillment of the personal requirements for appointment as a civil servant
- At least 12 months of professional experience, of which at least 6 months in an agricultural, horticultural or viticultural business

The training mainly takes place at the Lower Agricultural Authority. Further stations during the training are the State Institute for Development of Agriculture and Rural Areas Schwäbisch Gmünd (LEL), the regional councils of the state and further elective stations at the state institutes.
During the training stages, comprehensive technical and methodological skills are taught in the following areas of work. For example:

Training for the higher agricultural service
The traineeship serves to qualify specialists and junior managers for work in the agricultural administration of the state of Baden-Württemberg. The traineeship begins in October and lasts a total of 19 months. The recruitment authority is the Ministry for Rural Areas and Consumer Protection. The traineeship is a prerequisite for employment as a civil servant in the higher civil service in the agricultural administration of the state of Baden-Württemberg.
The District Office regularly trains a trainee teacher in the field of horticulture.
Requirements:
- Successfully completed studies in agricultural sciences with a Master of Science degree or Diplom degree or a Master's degree in one of the subjects horticulture, viticulture, ecotrophology or dairy technology with a Master of Science degree or Diplom degree
- At least 12 months of professional experience, including at least 6 months in an agricultural, horticultural or viticultural business with an internship examination or completed vocational training in one of these professions
