Information and sample letters for legal guardians

Legal guardians support the person concerned in the legal management of their affairs within the scope of the tasks defined by the court. The guardian must determine the wishes of the person concerned and support them in implementing them. If necessary, the guardian acts on behalf of the person concerned.

Some decisions require the approval of the guardianship court, for example placement involving deprivation of liberty, restraint or giving up the home. In addition, legal guardians must regularly present their work for the person concerned to the guardianship court in the form of a list of assets, accounts (if not exempt) and a report on the personal circumstances of the person concerned. The sample letters provided here are intended to provide you with guidance and are designed to simplify these various tasks for you. You can save the forms and then fill them out, fill them out directly in the PDF document on your PC (but then possibly not save them) or print them out and edit them by hand.

Alternatively, you can obtain the necessary forms directly from your local guardianship court.
