Occupational health and safety
Industrial Safety Ordinance, Chemicals and Hazardous Substances Act, Construction Site Ordinance and Working Hours Act (also Youth Employment Protection Act).
According to the Working Hours Act , employees may not be employed on Sundays and public holidays. However, the law allows a large number of exceptions if the work cannot be carried out on working days, for example for hospitals, restaurants, transport companies, agriculture, etc.
The monitoring of social regulations in road traffic (driving personnel law), in particular the driving and rest periods of truck and bus drivers, is carried out by the Central Fines Department .
Environmental protection
Noise, dust, light and odor emissions and vibrations, operational wastewater and waste disposal.
Neighborhood complaints (noise, dust, odor, etc. ...) must be submitted to the Immission Control Division for preliminary legal examination.
Exceptions to this are complaints about heat pumps and air conditioning units and complaints about building sites , which are dealt with directly by the Trade Inspection Department.
