The "Child Protection Coordination" unit performs overarching tasks and serves as the point of contact for structural and organizational issues and responsibilities in the area of child protection. These include, among other things, procedures to follow when child welfare is suspected to be at risk and the agreements set forth in Section 8a and Section 72a of Book VIII of the Social Code (SGB VIII).
