European firearms pass
A European firearms pass is required when traveling to and through countries of the European Union (EU) or the countries Iceland, Norway and Switzerland where weapons are to be taken along.
In some countries, the prior consent of the competent authority of the country you wish to enter is required before entry. This must be entered in the European Firearms Pass.
Certain simplifications apply to hunters and sport shooters in some member states.

Gun ownership card in the event of inheritance
If a firearm is inherited, a firearms license is also required. If you have found or taken possession of a firearm after the death of the previous owner, you are obliged to notify the competent authority immediately.
Prerequisites
It must be a legal weapon, the heir must be at least 18 years old, must be reliable under firearms law and must be personally suitable. The heir must provide proof of the installation of an approved blocking system if he is not an expert. No proof of expertise or need is currently required for heirs. The acquisition of ammunition in the event of inheritance is not possible.
Small firearms license
The small firearms license entitles the holder to carry alarm, irritant and signal weapons that comply with the approved design according to § 8 BeschG and bear the corresponding approval mark, e.g. PTB in a circle.
The small firearms license is not valid for air pressure, spring pressure and CO2 weapons with the approval mark F (in a pentagon).
Note: The small firearms license is only valid within the area of application of the Weapons Act and is not valid abroad.
