More and more people in local politics are being insulted, threatened or even attacked. The "Stark im Amt - gegen Hass und Gewalt" ("Strong in office - against hatred and violence") portal provides information and has established the "Starke Stelle" ("Strong office") advice service. "Stark im Amt" is a cooperation between the German Association of Cities, the German Association of Counties and the German Association of Towns and Municipalities and the initiator and project partner, the Körber Foundation.
The "Starke Stelle" is a nationwide, independent contact point for local politicians in the event of threats and attacks as well as for preventative measures. You will receive free advice on how you can protect yourself and defend yourself, as well as on specific offers of help and local contacts. The advice center is funded by the Federal Ministry of the Interior and Home Affairs.
