A traveling trade is operated by anyone who commercially (without prior order by a customer) outside his commercial establishment:
- offers goods for sale or seeks out (sells) or purchases orders,
- offers services or seeks orders for services or carries out entertaining activities as a showman or in the manner of a showman (e.g. traders at markets, showmen, operators of mobile food trucks)
In contrast to the standing trade, a permit, a so-called traveling trade card, is always required for the traveling trade. The traveling trade license can be applied for for a limited period of one year or for an unlimited period.
Applications for the issue of a traveling trade license are at the municipality of residenceavailable. The application must be submitted to the municipalities together with the required documents. If the district office is responsible, the municipalities will forward the applications to the district office for further processing.
Required documents
- Identity card or passport
- Police clearance certificate (not older than three months) document type 0 with dispatch directly to the authority
- Extract from the central trade register (not older than three months) Document type 9 sent directly to the authority
- Certificate in tax matters from the tax office (not older than three months)
- Instruction in accordance with the Infection Protection Act (when handling food)
- Proof of public liability insurance (as a showman)
