Help for single parents

For single parents, pregnancy, birth and the new "parenthood" are a particularly big challenge.

When a separation is imminent, previous life plans have to change considerably!

Many questions arise:

• What financial help can I get?
• How can I manage everyday life and the upbringing of my child?
• What childcare is suitable for my child?
• Where can I get support in the event of conflicts with the separated parent?
• How can I get in touch with other single parents?

You may feel overwhelmed by the tasks ahead and are looking for guidance and support.

• if you are pregnant and likely to be a single parent.
• if you are thinking about a separation or if this is imminent.
• if you are already a single parent, regardless of the age of your children.

• Personal and telephone counseling
• Advice in personal emergency and crisis situations
• Information on public assistance and financial options: e.g. parental allowance, child benefit, ALG II, housing benefit, child supplement, social and youth welfare services
• Support in coping with everyday life: e.g. housing, family, money, authorities, childcare
• Assistance with conflicts with the other parent
• Advice on custody and access rights
• Information and practical help with parenting issues
• Contact with other single parents
• Time for your questions and joint search for suitable solutions

Mondays from 9:00 - 11:00 a.m., no appointment necessary

• Open meeting place "Kaffee Frieda" for single parents with their children aged 0-6 years
• Open meeting for single parents with children aged 10 and over
• Seminars with speakers or online
• Activities for single parents and their children, e.g. joint excursions, swap meets
• Celebrating festivals throughout the year

The open meeting "Kaffee-Frieda" takes place twice a month on Thursdays from 3:30 pm to 5:30 pm.

The open meeting for single parents with children aged 10 and over takes place approx. every 2 months on Tuesdays in the Ludwigsburg District Office room 237 from 4.30 - 6.00 pm.

We regularly offer seminars for single parents.

The seminars include childcare and are free of charge. Registration is requested (by telephone or e-mail).

The seminars always start at 16:00 to 17:30/18:00 in the district administration office with childcare.

We offer information and practical support for everyday parenting with your children, e.g. :

• Recognizing and understanding children's needs and signals and reacting appropriately.
• Building and releasing attachment and trust.
• Becoming confident in your own parenting skills!
• Making children strong, protecting them from illness and danger!
• Setting limits for children and encouraging and challenging them at every age.
