The medical care service prepares (medical care) reports on applications in the field of severe disability law and social compensation law (SER), e.g. victim compensation and the Protection against Infection Act (IfSG), for the care matters section (GT 433). The Benefits Division checks whether the requirements for the awarding of compensation for disadvantages, so-called characteristics, in the law on severely disabled persons (§152 SGBIX) or the requirements for the awarding of benefits under social compensation law are met.

The medical care service will also check whether the requirements for the award of the orange parking sticker (aG light) are met and will return the application to the road traffic matters section (GT 322) for further processing.
