Declaration on accessibility

The Ludwigsburg district website is largely barrier-free.

Accessibility means that people with disabilities (e.g. visually impaired or blind people) can also use the Ludwigsburg district website without special restrictions and generally without outside help.

The Ludwigsburg District Office endeavors to make its website accessible in accordance with Section 10 (1) of the State Disability Equality Act (L-BGG).

This declaration on accessibility applies to the website of the Ludwigsburg District Office (www.landkreis-ludwigsburg.de).

1. status of compatibility with the requirements

The Ludwigsburg District Office has provided information in plain language about the central content of the website for people with disabilities.

This includes:

  • Introduction to the district office, contact details, opening hours, address
  • Instructions for navigating the website
  • Help for people with disabilities
  • Social assistance
  • Health services
  • Waste
  • Declaration on accessibility

Videos in sign language are provided for the following content:

  • Navigation and contents of the website
  • Declaration on accessibility

The entire website is barrier-free with regard to a read-aloud function and the possibility of increasing the contrast.

There is also a page with operating instructions. These are intended to make it easier for people with disabilities to use the website.

Images are provided with alternative texts.

The purpose of the link texts can be determined.

The content structure of the pages is recognizable from the headings.

This website is partially compatible with Section 10 (1) L-BGG due to the following exceptions.

We are working on implementing the accessibility of the website.

2 Non-accessible content

The content listed below is not accessible for the following reasons:

(a) Incompatibility with Section 10(1) L-BGG

Integrated documents (forms and pre-printed forms) are designed to be as accessible as possible, but not barrier-free, as this is legally difficult / often not possible. However, a contact is listed in each section who will be happy to help you if you have any difficulties.

In the case of statutes and announcements, the respective PDF files are legally binding documents and therefore cannot be provided in any other way.

Simple language is not always possible due to the often complex content with many technical terms.

b) Disproportionate burden

In most cases, embedded PDF documents are not yet barrier-free. We are working on gradually replacing the PDF documents (where possible) with accessible PDF documents or HTML content.

The following areas of the website are not yet available in plain language, as this would represent a disproportionate burden.

  • County council, Europe, tourism and leisure, partnerships
  • Youth welfare, care and senior citizens, help for single parents, job center
  • Food, veterinary services, nutrition center
  • Traffic, safety, order
  • Environment, technology, construction (with the exception of waste)

Links to external websites may lead to non-accessible content.

3. creation of this declaration on accessibility

This declaration was created on 30.07.2020.

The statements in the declaration regarding compliance with accessibility requirements are based on an actual assessment of the website's compliance with accessibility requirements in the form of a self-assessment carried out by the public body.

The declaration was last reviewed on 22.10.2025.
