Heat and health
Climate change is already in full swing and temperatures are rising. This is particularly noticeable in summer: extreme temperatures and heatwaves are becoming increasingly frequent. This presents us with major challenges, as heat has a severe impact on our health and well-being. Heat is particularly dangerous for vulnerable people such as the elderly, children, people with pre-existing conditions, those in need of care or pregnant women. Heat can also be very threatening for people who are exposed to high levels of heat at work or in sport.
It is therefore important to be aware of the dangers of heat and to prevent them. So that you are best prepared for the hot days, you will find various helpful information and materials for yourself, your children, relatives or the target group of your institution on this page, in addition to the district-wide heat action plan.
