The association supports projects with the aim of preserving steep vineyard sites in the following areas
- Steep slope viticulture as cultural heritage and image carrier of the region: profiling steep slope wines
- Developing the Neckarschleifen wine and cultural landscape as an experience area and tourist destination
- Vineyard terraces with a new future - innovative uses and prospects for fallow steep slopes
- Cultural heritage as a community task - creating awareness and finding partners.
The investment must be implemented within the boundaries of the member municipalities.
The investment project must support the objectives of the integrated rural development concept ILEK-Neckarschleifen.
In addition to the well-known and proven project ideas relating to viticulture and its marketing, we are also looking for new ideas: projects that are creative, innovative and unique, projects and plans that do not yet exist in our region.
Do you have ideas for interesting and innovative projects that serve to preserve or promote the valuable cultural landscape of the terraced steep vineyards? Inspire guests with our steep slopes? We would like to position ourselves as a tourist wine region with a unique selling point. This includes appropriate projects that have the potential to attract guests - simply because they are unique and exciting and offer visitors a special experience. Projects in the field of nature and landscape conservation in our steep slopes are also very welcome.

The individual projects must be implemented and invoiced in full in the respective year!
The project must be able to be implemented with an amount between € 2,500 and € 20,000 (net). The net amount can then be funded with an 80% subsidy. A total of € 170,000 in funding is available. Of this, €150,000 comes from state funds to support the "Regional Budget" program in accordance with the GAK** framework plan.
The short application for the project must contain the project description and a cost estimate. This must be submitted to the office by 08.01.2026.
The following documents must be submitted by 02.02.2026: a detailed project description, approvals from other authorities, two bids and a detailed cost estimate. Please complete the entire project application and send it to the office by the deadlines stated.
In recent years, funding has been provided for a Natur-Kraft-Weg (digital fitness trail using an app), snack stations in the vineyards, trolleys, signage for steep slope trails, mini-platforms in the vineyard, wine vending machines, a geocaching tour and the renovation of dry stone walls and an ice cellar. The funding is very diverse.
