Freedom of procedure for ground-mounted PV systems
With the reform of the BW State Building Code (LBO) - law for faster construction - solar installations were generally exempt from building law procedures. In February 2026, associated enclosures and technical ancillary facilities were also exempt from the procedure
Even projects that are exempt from procedures must comply with public law regulations, in particular building planning and building regulations law.
