General information
The urban land-use planning department is the coordination point for development plan, land-use plan and regional planning procedures as well as statements from the Ludwigsburg District Office for procedures that affect several departments and specialist areas internally. The aim is to submit a coordinated statement to the external planning and project sponsors to be consulted.
The department is also responsible for regional planning procedures in cooperation with the Stuttgart region (e.g. wind power) and/or the Stuttgart Regional Council, is involved in supra-local landscape framework plans and is involved in land management issues and commercial site location issues.
The Ludwigsburg District Office is also involved as a representative of public interests in hearings for building permit procedures of the large district towns and administrative communities and district-wide for planning procedures for power lines, road and aviation events, railroad and other procedures and noise action plans.
Statistical tasks complete the area of responsibility.
