General information
The Urban Planning Division serves as the coordinating body for procedures related to zoning plans, land-use plans, and regional planning, as well as for statements issued by the Ludwigsburg District Administration Office in cases that involve multiple departments and divisions internally. The goal is to submit a coordinated statement to the external planning and project authorities conducting the public hearings.
The division is also responsible for regional planning procedures in cooperation with the Stuttgart Region (e.g., wind power) and/or the Stuttgart Regional Council, contributes to supra-local landscape framework plans, and is involved in land-use management issues and the selection of commercial land sites.
The Ludwigsburg District Administration is also involved as a representative of public interests in hearings regarding planning procedures for utility corridors, road and aviation events, railway and air pollution control proceedings of the Stuttgart Regional Council, as well as other proceedings and noise action plans.
