Instruction according to § 43 Infection Protection Act

Instruction

Initial instruction in accordance with Section 43 of the Infection Protection Act(IfSG) is required by law if you

  • are commercially employed in the food sector.
  • work in facilities for or with communal catering (e.g. nursing homes, kindergartens, schools, nurseries, etc.).

Initial instruction in accordance with § 43 of the Infection Protection Act(IfSG) is recommended if you

  • handle food that is sold to third parties as part of an internship (e.g. BOGY internship etc.).
  • handle food that is sold to third parties as part of a voluntary activity (club/street parties, camps and similar events).

Since September 2023, the initial instruction according to § 43 Infection Protection Act (IfSG) takes place ONLINE .

As part of the registration process, you will be asked for your zip code. If you live or are registered in the district of Ludwigsburg, the Ludwigsburg public health department is responsible.

The instruction takes the form of a short video and related comprehension questions.

You can choose between different languages (Arabic, Bulgarian, German, English, French, Italian, Farsi, Polish, Romanian, Russian, Spanish and Turkish).

You will then receive the certificate of instruction in your ServiceBW mailbox.

The fee for the online instruction is 24 euros.

The fee for online instruction as part of an internship or volunteer position is 10 euros.

The fee for face-to-face instruction in the office is 34 euros.

The fee for face-to-face instruction in the office as part of an internship or voluntary position is 15 euros.

Only in EXCEPTIONAL CASES can a face-to-face instruction take place at the Ludwigsburg public health department.

For minors, a declaration from the legal guardian is required.

Applying for a duplicate

If you have been instructed by the Ludwigsburg public health department within the last 10 years, you can apply for a duplicate if you lose your certificate.

The fee for a duplicate is 12 euros.
