ILEK Neckarschleifen and regional management
Between 2015 and 2017, the municipalities of Benningen a.N., Bönnigheim, Freiberg a.N., Gemmrigheim, Hessigheim, Ingersheim, Kirchheim a.N., Lauffen a.N., Mundelsheimein and Walheim developed an integratedruraldevelopmentconceptwith a focus on terraced steep vineyard slopes.
Four fields of action were defined, which have since formed the guidelines for many projects.
- Steep slope viticulture as cultural heritage and image carrier of the region: Profiling steep slope wines.
- Developing the Neckarschleifen wine and cultural landscape as an experience area and tourist destination.
- Vineyard terraces with a new future - innovative uses and perspectives for fallow steep slopes.
- Cultural heritage as a joint task - creating awareness and finding partners
Subsequently, many projects could be pursued and also launched in the years 2018-2022 through subsequent regional management.
Besigheim also joined the association for this purpose.
