Biogas plants

According to the Directive on the Promotion of the Use of Energy from Renewable Sources (RED II Directive) of 11.12.2018, procedural manuals must be prepared for the project sponsors for renewable energy plants. The attached procedure manual describes the procedure for the immission control approval of biogas plants in Baden-Württemberg.

Among other things, it stipulates that the competent immission control authority is the single body responsible for coordinating the approval procedure in accordance with the RED II Directive at the request of the project developer. A corresponding regulation will be included in the Immission Control Competence Ordinance BW.
