- Notification form for public water supply systems (§11 TrinkwV) According to the Drinking Water Ordinance §11, the operator of a water supply system must notify the public health department of the commissioning, recommissioning, structural and operational changes, transfer of ownership and decommissioning if the drinking water is provided as part of a public activity. A public activity exists if the drinking water is provided to an indefinitely changing group of people who are not connected by personal relationships (e.g. schools, kindergartens, care facilities, fitness studios or hotels). Public water supply facilities also include drinking water fountains, also known colloquially as drinking water dispensers, which are set up in publicly accessible places outside buildings.
