KLIMAfit offers companies an introduction to the topic of climate protection and energy saving. Joint workshops are held to draw up a greenhouse gas balance sheet and derive measures to reduce emissions. In addition to reducing negative climate impacts and operating costs, the program lays the foundations for company-wide climate management. The companies receive support from expert environmental and energy consultants. The project runs for approx. 9 months and ends with the "KLIMAfit Betrieb" award. Due to the significant increase in refugee numbers since spring 2022, the district of Ludwigsburg is working hard to expand its capacity for temporary accommodation for refugees and is looking for residential and commercial properties for this purpose. Land for possible development is also of interest. Last year, the district agreed with the 39 district municipalities that low-threshold rental offers such as apartments and accommodation up to a size of around 20 to 25 accommodation places would be processed by the respective local municipality and that the district would examine the suitability of properties with more accommodation places.
Corresponding rental or purchase offers can be sent to Asylbewerber[at]Landkreis-Ludwigsburg.de. The Asylum Accommodation Department of the District Office will then contact you immediately. Ms. Prügner (07141/ 144-43029) or Mr. Rockstroh (07141/ 144-42665) will be happy to answer any questions you may have.

As a model municipality of the Baden-Württemberg Ministry of Transport, the district of Ludwigsburg is drawing up a climate mobility plan with the aim of reducing its transport CO2 emissions by 55 percent by 2030. 28 of the 39 district municipalities are taking part in the project and, together with the district administration and regional transport stakeholders, are drafting a catalog of measures for more climate-friendly mobility.
Public participation is an important basis for the climate mobility plan: At four public events in May 2023, interested parties will be able to contribute suggestions for the plan's goals and measures. Companies active in the district, including their workforces, are also invited to contribute to its development. Suggestions and proposals can be sent to the project manager(lukas.goeppner[at]landkreis-ludwigsburg.de) at any time.
In fall 2023, the first draft of the plan can be commented on and evaluated online by the public. Current information: www.landkreis-ludwigsburg.de/klimamobilitaetsplan

The lives of women in the Ludwigsburg district will once again be the focus of the WOMEN'S INFO DAYS from May 2 - 12. The aim is to provide knowledge and support on topics such as "Reconciling family, care and career", "Returning to work", "Further professional training and education" and "Success stories that encourage". The main organizers are the Equal Opportunities Officer of the Ludwigsburg district, the Employment Agency and the Regional Office for Vocational Training.
The main theme for 2023: "Self is the woman?!" Expand your MIN(D)T set! focuses on the (as yet) untapped potential of women in STEM professions (mathematics, information technology, natural sciences, technology). Even today, women are still significantly underrepresented in these occupational fields. In view of climate-related requirements, digitalization and the shortage of skilled workers, we are opening up role stereotypes and inspiring and encouraging girls and women to enter these professions. Employers are also shown opportunities and possibilities. The kick-off event with accompanying trade fair will take place on 03.05.23 in the Stadthalle Schillerhöhe in Marbach am Neckar.
Interested parties can find further information - including information on how to take part - here: www.landkreis-ludwigsburg.de/fraueninfotage.
