Student group from Israel visits the district

A group of around 30 German-Israeli students from the Oscar Paret School in Freiberg and the Eynot-Yarden School in Israel recently attended a reception at the district administration office. District Administrator Dietmar Allgaier welcomed the young people and emphasized in his speech that student exchanges are places where democracy is put into practice.

25-year partnership

Allgaier said in his welcoming address: "Especially in times when polarization, prejudice and hate speech are becoming louder again, your exchange sends a strong signal: It shows that understanding is possible, that encounters build bridges and that trust arises from togetherness." The pupils and accompanying teachers signed the district's guest book, watched a film about the district and received a small gift from the district.

In addition to the visit to the district administration office, the program also included two nights at the Strümpfelbrunn school hostel with a democracy education workshop and excursions to Ludwigsburg, Stuttgart and Tübingen.

Partner schools connected since 2020 - lively exchange

The district of Ludwigsburg has maintained a friendship with the Upper Galilee for more than 40 years, which led to an official partnership in 1997. The partnership between the Oscar Paret School in Freiberg and the Eynot Yarden School in Israel has existed since 2020. It was the fifth school partnership for the district at the time and there are now six. The Eynot-Yarden-School in Israel has the Friedrich-Schiller-Gymnasium in Marbach as its second partner school.
