A total of 93 works that met the entry requirements were submitted for the competition.
A seven-member jury, consisting of four specialist jurors and three expert jurors, met on September 18 and 19, 2025 under the chairmanship of Jens Rannow. From the morning until midday on the first day, the jury shortlisted a total of 32 works in several rounds. The jury traveled through the district of Ludwigsburg to view the shortlisted properties on site.
After intensive deliberations during the tour and in a final meeting on Friday at the district administration office, the jury discussed the properties visited in detail and ultimately awarded 21 prizes.
Overall, the award process provided a very good picture of building culture in the district.

Overall, the jury was impressed by the high standard of the work submitted. However, awards were only given to works that were considered exemplary in every respect as defined in the call for entries. There were no further placings in the group of awards, as the works come from different areas and involve construction tasks that are difficult to compare. However, the decisive factor was how the respective building task was solved at the specific location and for the different users in each case.
The jury based its decision on the following criteria:
- External design, dimensions and proportions of the structure
- Interior space formation, allocation of rooms and practicality
- Appropriateness of means and materials, constructive honesty
- Integration and interaction with the urban context and the environment
- Sustainability (ecological, economic, social)
All award-winning works are exemplary in this sense. The outstanding solution to the respective building task was only possible thanks to the joint commitment of the clients and planners. For this reason, the award is given equally to both.
Clients and architects will be honored with certificates and plaques on February 10, 2026, and the award-winning works will then be presented to the public in an exhibition, brochure, on the Internet and in the Architekturführer Baden-Württemberg app (in the latter, however, only if the client has not objected to the publication of the address).
