Some objectives from the digitalization strategy are already being implemented as part of projects:
- Home office
Since the start of the coronavirus pandemic, we have been working continuously to expand the opportunities for employees to work from home. In the meantime, 1,272 employees can already work from home. The figures relate to the entire district administration, including all departments. In the future, "mobile working" is to be introduced at the Ludwigsburg District Office, where a service agreement is currently being drawn up and a hardware concept is being developed.
- eFile
To ensure that working from home functions smoothly and without media discontinuity, the electronic file is a fundamental building block, alongside the IT infrastructure designed for this purpose. While the course is currently being set with regard to the IT infrastructure, work is also underway to establish a standard for the introduction of the electronic file for the district administration. This includes service instructions, action plans and the examination of all processes for their optimization and digitalization potential. Data protection and IT security are the top priorities here.
- eLearning
Learning is also changing with the age of digitalization. Where working from home is part of everyday working life, further education and training courses can no longer be offered exclusively in person. Employees have access to a wide range of interactive eLearning courses, which are constantly being expanded. The eLearning courses can be completed independently and at any time. The certificate of participation is also made available immediately in digital form. In addition, various live online training courses are held on specific dates, which are very well received by employees.
- Online forms
There is still a lot to do in terms of digitalization, and not just for the district administration and its employees. Digitization is also intended to simplify access to the district administration's services for its citizens. For example, forms and services that can be applied for, processed and even paid for completely electronically are currently being implemented. To this end, the district of Ludwigsburg is working closely with other districts within and outside Baden-Württemberg. A gun ownership card can already be applied for online via service-bw. In the near future, applications for surveying services and applications for traffic regulation orders will also be available online.
- NaLa
However, if citizens want or need to go to the office in person to deal with their concerns, they can find their way to the relevant contact person easily and directly with the help of our Navigation District Office - NaLa for short - for example via the following link:
The health of our customers and our employees is our top priority! Therefore, due to Corona, appointments are still only possible by prior arrangement.
