The following must be observed
- Always name files correctly BEFORE uploading them to the Typo3 system
- File names must not contain umlauts (ä, ö, ü, ß)
- File names must not contain any spaces
- File names must not contain any special characters (+, #, ?, =, etc.)
- File names must not contain version numbers or year numbers (draft-01, version-02, -2018)
- File names must be written completely in lower case
- The only special character allowed is the minus dash - or the underscore _
- Image files should be optimized BEFORE uploading using TinyPNG (a free online service for image compression)
- Upload images
- Start the compression process
- Download compressed files & unzip if necessary
- After uploading to the TYPO3 system, it is essential to assign a name / title
- For PDF files, a description can be entered at the same time, if required
- PDF files should generally be integrated via the content element file links and not via a normal text link
