Note
As an editor, you work in the workspace or in a work environment (both mean the same thing). This means that when you create, change, create or adapt content, this is not immediately live online, but is initially in your workspace in edit mode. Once you are finished with the changes, you must send them for approval.
How to send something for approval
First switch to the Working environment module on the left-hand side. Select your edited page from the page tree, expand the page tree if necessary. Clicking on the top entry [0] Typo3 Landkreis Ludwigsburg always shows no results.
By default, only the depth - 1 level is displayed. Change here to more levels or infinity as required. This value shows all changes according to the selection (depth) from the selected page in the page tree. If you have only selected 1 level, you may not see the changes for pages 3 levels deeper.
Here the selection of the depth is infinite and therefore you will see all changes below the selected page with the ID 398.
Expand the page tree. You will then see red dots directly on the subpages. These mark pages that contain changes within the working environment. It does not matter whether the page data set or the page content has been adjusted.
Now go to your page on which content is waiting to be published (here page ID 6888). The list of entries on the right-hand side will be shorter accordingly.
Select all entries that you want to publish.
Make the selection above the "Ready to publish" entries.
The administrators are preselected in the following popup. They will then receive an email informing them that they wish to publish. You can add a comment or even another recipient. Click OK and the window will disappear automatically.
The entries are updated and the "Current stage" column no longer shows "Edit" but "Ready to publish". Your entries can now be published live by the administrator.
As soon as the administrator has published your changes, you should have received an email. If you then reload the page (here 6888) or call it up again the next day, the list of entries in the right-hand area will be shorter. All your submitted changes that have gone live are no longer listed here.
Tip
Do not make too many changes at once, but send the changes for publication in small chunks. Otherwise you will quickly lose track as soon as the list of entries becomes too large.
Once all the content on a page has been published, the red dots on this page will also disappear. The red dots allow you to see directly on which pages changes have been made but have not yet been published.
