Gender-based violence is omnipresent and is still anchored in social structures. The campaign by the Equal Opportunities Officer of the Ludwigsburg district aims to draw attention to this by setting up orange benches. The campaign is accompanied by a varied program. This includes, for example, specialist lectures on domestic violence and digital violence, as well as online (live) events such as "Sexism in everyday working life" on April 25 and "Women's solidarity" on April 29.
Events in April: from self-defense workshops to a cappella concerts

On 26 April, all interested parties are invited to the Kronenzentrum in Bietigheim-Bissingen for a choir concert by the A-Cappella-Ladies with their program "FrauenPower". Admission is free. Lectures such as "Safe on the road", "Immediate help after rape" or "Loverboys and prostitution" are also available to book for institutions and companies. Orange Bank: Campaign as a sign against violence
The "Orange Bank" campaign is intended as a reminder to draw attention to the situation of women. Orange benches will be set up throughout the district this year. They are intended to draw attention to the fact that one in three women in Germany is affected by physical and/or sexual violence. The benches also feature a plaque with information about the help system. The bench also invites people to talk about violence against women, which is still a taboo subject in society.
