Preparations for the move have been underway for several months in collaboration with the departments involved. The first workstations in the new building are currently being set up and are scheduled to be used for technical testing in the near future. The goal is to make the transition as smooth as possible for our customers.
In-Person Consultations in the New Premises
“While there will be some limitations in certain areas during the interim phase, the move also offers an opportunity to make our services even more citizen-friendly in the future,” explains District Administrator Dietmar Allgaier. For example, the program division will have its own dedicated space in the interim building, allowing processes to be organized more efficiently and requests to be handled more effectively.
The structure of counter services is also changing: Instead of an open-plan area, consultations will take place in smaller offices on two levels. Two to three employees will work in each office. The new layout creates a quieter atmosphere for work and conversations and enables more personalized service for customers.
Directions and Payment Information
Another organizational change is that there will be no parking available for visitors on the grounds of the temporary building. However, parking will still be available along Hindenburgstraße and in the parking garages at the district office at Hindenburgstraße 40. Signage directing visitors to the vehicle registration office will be posted. The walk takes only a few minutes. With the move, the central payment office will also relocate to the temporary building. As a result, cash payments at the district office will no longer be possible in the future.
The Ludwigsburg District Office asks citizens in advance for their understanding regarding any potential inconveniences during the transition phase. At the same time, the move is an important step toward making vehicle registration more modern, efficient, and service-oriented in the long term. The goal remains to make visits to the vehicle registration office easier and more pleasant in the future.
