The farm festival on the Seemann family's organic farm with a focus on strawberry cultivation starts at 10 a.m. with a joint church service during which the little ones are looked after. Catering begins at 11.30 am. Visitors can look forward to informative tours of the fields and a machine exhibition as well as various organic strawberry specialties, including strawberry cake. In addition to the open farm store, there will also be a regional and artisan market for shopping. For the little ones, there is a colorful children's program with pony rides, a bungee trampoline, face painting and a bouncy castle.
Sunday, May 19, Mühlhof - Silber family, Mühlhof 1 in Hemmingen
The Silber family runs a dairy farm in Hemmingen with their own offspring. Raw milk is sold daily between 6 a.m. and 10 p.m. from the milk vending machine in the Milchhäusle. They also sell their own eggs and beef from the farm. On Sunday, May 19, from 11 a.m., the Silber family welcomes visitors to the Mühlhof in Hemmingen for a farm festival. Visitors can learn about modern dairy farming and agriculture during guided tours of the farm. The Nutrition Center Mittlerer Neckar of the Ludwigsburg District Office will provide information on the subject of milk. Hot food, coffee and cake as well as a straw bouncy castle invite you to linger at the Mühlhof .
Saturday, May 18 and Sunday, May 19, Hohenhaslach Wineries Day
A total of six wineries from Hohenhaslach open their doors and invite you to linger and discover. Among them is the Fried Baumgärtner winery at Freudentaler Straße 32. The family-run winery produces sustainable regional wines on 10 hectares of vineyards. Visitors can tour the new cellar on Saturday from 4 pm and on Sunday from 11 am and enjoy food and drinks in the wine lounge. The Baumgärtner panorama winery at Steige 94 invites visitors to take a tour of the cellar, the wine show garden and the viewing platform on Saturday and Sunday from 11 am. The family winery grows international grape varieties such as Chardonnay, Merlot, Syrah and Malbec in addition to the classic grape varieties. The Landgasthof Stromberg serves regional dishes. The Katzer winery at Ochsenbacher Straße 46 opens its doors from 11 a.m. on both days for the "Gläserne Produktion" and its "Wengerthäusle" wine tavern. Guided tours of the cellar and wine press will provide interesting facts about winegrowing and vinification. Winemaker Gerd Keller at Rechentshofer Straße 8 also welcomes guests to taste the new 2018 collection, mature red wines and Swabian specialties from 11 am on both days. There is a play area for children. The Kurt and Dietmar Ott winery at Kirchstraße 4 to 6 offers informative cellar tours, guided walks through the vineyards and photo impressions from the vineyard on Saturday and Sunday from 11 am. Delicious onion, potato and wild garlic cakes are baked in the historic bakehouse on vine wood. Spit roasts and other regional specialties, coffee and home-baked goods are also on the menu. WeinGut Weiberle in Horrheimer Straße 4 is looking forward to welcoming visitors on Saturday from 4 pm and on Sunday from 11 am. The heart of the winery beats for delicious regional and traditional wines, which are available in the VinoThek. Wine tours through the vineyards with wine tasting in a covered wagon can be booked with the Weiberle family. On Hohenhaslach Winery Day, the winery will be hosting an exciting exhibition on sustainability in the winery and vineyard with guided tours, a wine tasting stand, delicious food from the grill and pan as well as coffee and cake on Sunday.
