Specialties and handicrafts from Zwickau/Saxony, Provence/France, Bergamo/Italy and Pest/Hungary make the market a unique highlight in the district of Ludwigsburg. "I am delighted that the Spätlingsmarkt can take place again in 2021, albeit a little smaller than usual, but with some new features," says District Administrator Dietmar Allgaier.
In the new open-air area, a small village of huts in Eugenstraße between the Kreishaus and the extension building, there will be Saxon specialties ranging from smoked sausage from the Ore Mountains to roast meat, from high-quality French wines, soaps and juices and handicrafts from Provence to tasty baked goods made from spelt and mulled wine. In the Kreishaus and the extension building, there will once again be a wide range of regional goods and culinary delights. Twelve wineries will once again be offering wine connoisseurs the pleasure of tasting the highest quality wines from steep slopes and the Keuper regions of the Ludwigsburg district. The atrium in the first extension building offers visitors space to sit and linger and a delicious selection of brooms.
"Plastic-free" is this year's motto as the Spätlingsmarkt's contribution to climate protection. Whether it's espresso or soup, no plastic tableware will be used at the Spätlingsmarkt. Visitors are asked to join in and bring their own bags to transport the specialties they buy.
The district of Ludwigsburg offers its own district cider as part of the Spätlingsmarkt, which is made exclusively from apples from the district of Ludwigsburg and from orchards and is produced by the company Schütz Fruchtsäfte. The district cider is sold at the following stands at the Spätlingsmarkt: on level 5 by Cidrier Urs Renninger and in the atrium by Rösch Säfte and Weingut Geiger.

Customers of the district administration office must present an appointment confirmation at the entrance control during the late market week.
