Award for the KLIMAfit companies in the Ludwigsburg district office

As part of this year's Spätlingsmarkt, the award ceremony for the KLIMAfit companies took place on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, in the Great Hall of the Ludwigsburg District Office.

Ministerial Director Dr. Michael Münter (on the sofa on the left) from the Baden-Württemberg Ministry of the Environment, Climate Protection and the Energy Sector and Wolfgang Bechtle (on the sofa on the right), Head of the Department of Environment, Technology and Construction, with the representatives of the award-winning companies (Ludwigsburg District Office).

With this award, the Baden-Württemberg Ministry for the Environment, Climate Protection and the Energy Sector, together with the district of Ludwigsburg, recognized the special commitment of regional companies that have actively implemented climate protection and energy-saving measures as part of the KLIMAfit funding programme.

The event was opened by Ministerial Director Dr. Michael Münter from the Baden-Württemberg Ministry for the Environment, Climate Protection and the Energy Sector and Wolfgang Bechtle, Head of the Environment, Technology and Construction Department, who both emphasized the importance of corporate climate protection for the future viability of the region.

KLIMAfit - systematic climate protection

The KLIMAfit programme offers companies and organizations in Baden-Württemberg a structured and practical introduction to corporate climate protection. The aim is to support participants in drawing up their own carbon footprint, developing climate protection guidelines and implementing specific measures to reduce emissions.

The participating companies work together in so-called convoys - groups of five to twelve companies - accompanied by the Ludwigsburg District Office as the project sponsor and an experienced consultancy firm. Over a period of nine to twelve months, the companies develop individual strategies for greater climate protection and resource efficiency.

In addition to measurable CO₂ savings and cost benefits, the participating companies also benefit from an exchange of experience and a boost to their image thanks to the public award as a "KLIMAfit company".

Award-winning companies from the Ludwigsburg district

The following companies from the Ludwigsburg district were recognized for their commitment to climate protection:

  • HUOBER Brezel GmbH & Co KG, Erdmannhausen
  • AVL Abfallverwertungsgesellschaft des Landkreises Ludwigsburg mbH, Ludwigsburg
  • Kleeblatt Pflegeheime gGmbH, Ludwigsburg
  • Eugen Mayer GmbH & Co. KG, Kirchheim am Neckar
  • Staiger GmbH & Co. KG, Erligheim

They have all successfully drawn up their carbon footprint, established internal structures for climate protection and implemented measures to reduce emissions.

Following the award ceremony, a cozy get-together provided an opportunity for exchange and networking between the participating companies, project managers and guests.
