The district of Ludwigsburg has been providing financial support for this service since 1985. The transport service is aimed at people with disabilities who are unable to use local public transport due to their disability. The aim is to enable them to be more independent and participate in society - for example by taking them to friends, relatives, events or to run personal errands.
Cooperation with Johanniter and Malteser
Johanniter-Unfall-Hilfe and Malteser Hilfsdienst have been commissioned to provide the transport service. The costs of around 100,000 euros per year are borne entirely by the district of Ludwigsburg.
The service is available to people in the district of Ludwigsburg who do not live in a home, have a severely disabled person's pass with the "aG", "H" or "Bl" mark and are unable to use local public transport due to their disability.
How the registration works
Before the first journey, eligibility is checked using a questionnaire. Ride requests can be made Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. by calling 0711 13678945. Rides can be registered at the earliest two weeks and at the latest two days before the date and are carried out according to capacity.
Rides are offered Monday to Saturday from 9 am to 10 pm and on Sundays and public holidays from 10 am to 10 pm. In justified exceptional cases, trips outside these times are also possible.
