Sustainable eating in nurseries and schools: pulses in nursery and school meals - workshop in Ludwigsburg

The organic model region Ludwigsburg-Stuttgart and the program "Bio kann jeder - Nachhaltig essen in Kita und Schule" invite you to Ludwigsburg on October 10, 2023 from 2 to 6 pm. A workshop will provide answers to the following questions: What constitutes sustainable communal catering? And what opportunities arise despite low budgets? In addition to theory, the workshop will also focus on practice: after a presentation, child-friendly recipes with pulses will be cooked and tasted together. The workshop is aimed at those responsible for catering in daycare centers and schools.

Interested parties are asked to register by October 2, 2023 at https://akademie.fibl.org/event/247. A fee of 10 euros will be charged for the cooking practice.

Background to the Ludwigsburg-Stuttgart organic model region

The organic model region Ludwigsburg-Stuttgart is made up of the district of Ludwigsburg and the state capital Stuttgart and is funded by the Ministry of Food, Rural Areas and Consumer Protection. The aims of the organic model region are to promote the expansion of regional organic agriculture and networking within the (organic) value chain. Anyone can do organic - sustainable eating in nurseries and schools uses workshops to support local managers in making catering for children and young people more sustainable. Participants receive practical tips from regional partners on how they can introduce organically produced food into their facilities or expand the range on offer. The Bio kann jeder workshops are carried out on behalf of the Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture (BMEL) as part of the Federal Organic Farming Program (BÖL).
