Competence Center for Child Daycare participates with an information stand

The Competence Center for Child Day Care at the Ludwigsburg District Office will once again be taking part in the state-wide day care campaign day this year under the motto "Child day care on the screen". On Saturday, October 18, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., the employees will be represented with an information and campaign stand in Bietigheim (at the Kuhriosum fountain on Kronenplatz).

A group of women stands outdoors, holding colorful umbrellas and signs with text. The signs read: "HABEN DIE KINDER-TAGESPFLEGE AUF DEM SCHIRM WIR," which translates to "We have child daycare under control." The background features lush greenery.

The team from the Competence Center for Child Day Care takes part in the Child Day Care Action Day, with team leader Tanja Kohler in the middle.

The competence center will be on site to provide information about working as a childminder. Anyone interested in looking after children under the age of three can obtain information and advice directly at the stand. Qualification as a childminder is offered free of charge by the Ludwigsburg Child Daycare Competence Center. The stand also offers valuable insights for parents who would like to find out more about this form of childcare.

For all those who do not have time on October 18, there will be an online information event on Wednesday, October 29, 2025 at 9.30 am. Further details about the event can be found at www.tageseltern-lb.de.

Situation of child daycare in the district

In the district of Ludwigsburg, 235 childminders currently look after around 800 children. Up to five children can be cared for by a childminder in their own home, while up to ten children are cared for by at least two childminders in a children's nest or a large day care center. The small group size is a special quality feature of child day care, which enables close bonding and takes into account the individual needs of the children.
