As part of the "KinoKaffeeFilm" series, the film "The Ballad of Wallis Island", a British comedy by James Griffith, will be shown at 2.30 pm. From 2.15 p.m., staff from the health department will be inviting people to find out about the positive effects of music on health. Those who want to test their newly acquired knowledge can take part in the quiz afterwards - and with a bit of luck win a prize.

The image features the words "KINO KAFFEE FILM" prominently displayed on a dark blue background. Surrounding elements include popcorn, a camera, a film ticket, and a drink, suggesting a movie-themed event or experience.

The film "The Ballad of Wallis Island" is a comedy about eccentric lottery winner Charles, who invites his favorite musicians, former indie folk duo Herb McGwyer and Nell Mortimer, to his remote Wallis Island for a private concert to reunite them. The reunion brings up old wounds and memories and leads to a varied mix of humor and emotional conflict.

Before and after the film, Carola Benkert and Carolin Friedrich from the Department of Health will provide information about music and its positive effects on health. Music reduces stress, lifts the mood and stimulates the brain. It can lower blood pressure and heart rate, relieve pain and improve sleep quality. It does this by releasing happiness hormones such as dopamine and endorphins and influencing physiological processes.

The price of 8 euros includes admission to the movie and coffee or tea. The event is a cooperation between the Stadtseniorenrat Ludwigsburg e.V., the Central Filmtheater Ludwigsburg and the health department of the district administration.
