Safety as a Shared Responsibility
“Our employees must be able to feel safe in their workplace. Safety is not something to be taken for granted; it is a shared responsibility. With our updated safety plan, we are establishing clear structures and specific guidelines for action in the event of an emergency,” emphasizes District Administrator Dietmar Allgaier.
Existing Measures Are Being Supplemented
Already today, important safety measures are in place, including the internal alarm software Gisbo Alarm at computer workstations and the in-house security service. The updated safety concept complements these measures and provides employees with practical guidance for emergency and extreme situations. The recommendations are individually applicable to the district’s various offices and properties.
Proper Conduct in an Emergency
The proper behavior of each individual also plays an important role in this regard. Employee participation is expressly encouraged and promoted. At the same time, the concept makes it clear that comprehensive protection against all conceivable security risks and absolute safety are not possible. This makes it all the more important to adapt safety precautions to the specific situation and to minimize risks through appropriate behavior.
Security Concept Is Continuously Refined
The District Administration Office and the Staff Council have committed to regularly reviewing and further developing the safety concept. New findings—such as those from accident reports, risk assessments, and property inspections—are incorporated into this ongoing work.
