Transparent production in October: Autumn festival and harvest campaign on the program

Glass production in the Ludwigsburg district and in the city of Stuttgart offers something special in October: "Schülkes Hof" invites you to an autumn festival and "Reyerhof" to a harvest event.

Saturday, October 12, and Sunday, October 13, Schülkes Hof, Bromberghöfe 1 in Sachsenheim-Ochsenbach:

The Schülke family's full-time farm is very diverse. In addition to arable farming and viticulture, the farm also has a farm store, a broom pub, boarding horses and a herd of suckler cows. The offerings at the autumn festival, which takes place on Saturday and Sunday from 12 noon to 6 p.m. as part of the "Transparent Production" campaign, are just as varied. The Schülke family will be providing information about horse husbandry and giving guided tours of the farm. The program includes handicrafts and a straw bouncy castle for the youngest, pony rides, riding and vaulting demonstrations, a stick horse tournament with visitors as well as archery and crossbow shooting. Schülke's guests will be spoiled with country specialties of pork and beef as well as from their own stone oven. Sweet treats are available at the cake and waffle stand of the Sachsenheim-Kirbachtal riding club.

Saturday, October 12, Reyerhof, Unteraicherstraße 8 in Stuttgart-Möhringen:

The Demeter farm "Reyerhof" has been farmed organically since 1955. Around 40 hectares of agricultural land, including grassland, orchards and arable land for growing cereals and vegetables, belong to the Möhringen farm. The small dairy herd supplies milk, some of which is processed into yogurt, quark, cheese or ice cream, as well as beef. These and other farm products as well as products from other regional producers are marketed via the farm store and also in the farm café. School classes and kindergartens are regularly welcome to visit the farm as part of the "Lernort-Bauernhof" program. On Saturday morning, October 12, the Reyerhof team invites young and old to take part in a harvesting activity. Depending on the weather, carrots or apples will be harvested and pressed into juice directly on the orchard. The event starts at 10 am with a joint introduction.
