Head of Department Andreas Eschbach welcomes Hungarian student group to the district hall: "The interpersonal exchange within the student group leaves behind more than just friendships"

Pupils from the Hungarian József Attila Gimnázium Monor in Pest County were received by Andreas Eschbach, Head of the Central Control and Schools Department at the Ludwigsburg District Office on Wednesday (October 11).

Head of Department Andreas Eschbach welcomed a group of Hungarian pupils to the district hall on Wednesday.

The exchange between the Friedrich-List-Gymnasium Asperg and the József Attila Gimnázium Monor in Pest County has existed since 2002. Ten students from Hungary took part in this year's meeting. Former teacher Renate Stiefel from Friedrich-List-Gymnasium Asperg accompanied the group.

Head of Department Andreas Eschbach praised the long-standing partnership between the schools

In his welcoming address, Andreas Eschbach emphasized the good relationship that the district of Ludwigsburg has maintained with Pest County for many years. The official partnership was sealed in 2000. "Especially in times like these, such partnerships and friendships between districts and between pupils are of great importance," said Andreas Eschbach in his welcome address. "The cultural, but even more so the interpersonal exchange within the group of pupils leaves more than just friendships behind." In view of the current unrest and wars in the world, it is important to develop a mutual understanding for each other and to strengthen and cultivate the European idea.

In September, pupils from Asperg visited the partner school in Monor

The pupils signed the district's guest book and watched a movie about the district. Afterwards, a tour of the castle and a visit to the Baroque in Bloom were on the program. At the end of September, year ten pupils from Friedrich-List-Gymnasium Asperg had already traveled to Monor, a small town near Budapest, for a week-long visit.
